Papaw’s Garden Supply: Helping The Next Generation To Grow With Nature.

The Danish Ballhead heirloom cabbage variety is a cool weather vegetable crop. This cabbage dates back to the 15th century It can be planted mid-summer for a late fall fall crop in most areas.  This cabbage variety produces large round, globe-shaped dense heads that average between 5 and 7 pounds and is a good storage cabbage. The flavorful heads are perfect for slaw, sauerkraut and are equally delicious in cooked recipes. The heads mature later and resist cracking and splitting. Maturity 100-120 days from transplant.
