The Watermelon Beefsteak Tomato is an old heirloom variety from the 1800s. It is a very impressive tomato. Fruits are a soft pink, like the color of a crimson sweet watermelon’s flesh. The big beefsteak tomatoes can easily achieve 1-2 pounds each. They are slightly scalloped on top and have an oblong shape. The sizes may vary significantly, but it is safe to say that they get enormous, and they have a nice, mild, sweet tomato flavor. Watermelon beefsteak tomatoes grow on indeterminate vines with regular leaves and grow as high as 4-5 feet tall. Staking and tying will be required due to the Potential volume of tomatoes and foliage that will be produced.
